Routines - Everyday care management for the whole family
KoiraKaveri routines and reminders are designed to remove everyday confusion from dog care. They work as a shared checklist for families and sitters.
Routines and reminders make sure everyone knows exactly whether the dog has already eaten, been walked or received medication. No more "did you already feed the dog?" questions - everyone can see the situation at a glance.
What is the difference between routines and reminders?
Both help manage your dog's day, but they are designed for different use cases:
Routines
Recurring daily events, such as meals and walks. You can see at a glance which tasks have already been completed and who is responsible.
Reminders
One-off events with a specific due date, such as tick medication or grooming. Reminders stay visible for two weeks after the due date so they are not forgotten on busy days.
Creating and managing tasks
You can add new reminders and routines in several ways:
Create manually
Enter a name, add details and choose a date.
Ready-made templates
Use the app's templates for the most common tasks.
AI Assistant
Ask KoiraKaveri's AI to create routines for you based on your dog's information.
Adding
Adding is easy: just give the reminder or routine a name. If you want to define it more precisely, you can do that through the additional buttons.
Recurrence and timing
You can define exactly how often a routine repeats: daily, weekly by choosing specific days, or monthly.
Editing
You can edit and manage reminders and routines by long-pressing them. The edit menu opens at the bottom of the screen.
Collaboration: nudges and pings
One of KoiraKaveri's most useful features is the ability to share responsibility within the family.
Ping
If you notice that the evening walk is still undone, you can send a family member or sitter a nudge: an immediate notification about the task.
Completion request
You can set a notification for yourself so you are told as soon as another user marks the task complete.
Tips for effective use
Quick actions
Long-press a routine or task to open a menu where you can edit, delete or send a reminder (ping) to others.
Responsible people
You can assign a specific responsible person to a task, and they will receive a personal notification.
Sitter Mode
When using a dog sitter, they see exactly the routines you have assigned to them through their own control view.
